Hard-Facing

Hard-facing is a metalworking process where a harder or tougher material is applied to a base metal through welding. This process is used to extend the service life of industrial components, preemptively on new components, or as part of a maintenance program. Hard-facing can be applied to new parts during production to increase wear resistance or to restore a worn-down surface.
